Martins Bay
Next to the Scandrett Regional Park is Martins Bay, beautiful sandy beach suitable for any kind of water activities. Take a stroll along the beach and explore rocky shore with rock pools at low tide. On the left side of the beach is walk going up to Scandrett providing you with plentiful options of short walking tracks (please note dogs are not allowed at Scandrett).
Enjoy views over to Kawau Island at one of the many picnic tables. Kids will have fun at the playground, older ones might like basketball court right next to it. Campground right on the beach makes it for perfect summer holiday.
Where is it located: From Warkworth drive to Algies Bay through Snells Beach. Carry on Mahurangi East Road, then turn left onto Martins Bay Road.
Approximate duration: 1 hour
Dog friendly, in summer (1st December to 1 March) dogs are prohibited from the beach between 10am and 5pm.
