Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens
Beautiful walk through landscaped gardens with more than 40 sculptures from New Zealand artists. It’s not only a sculpture trail, along the walk you’ll find lots of games for big and small alike and also a bush walk through native forest with views over Kaipara Harbour. Allow at least 2 hours to discover this fairy tale like place. Sculpture Gardens are part of Kaipara Coast Plant Centre, so if you discover any plant on the trail that catches your eye, chances are you can buy it there and take it home. There’s small cafe on site and toilets (piece of art on their own).
Where is it located: 1481 Kaipara Coast Highway. From Wellsford take SH16, look for the sign on the right side of the road.
Approximate duration: 1 – 1.5 hour (Sculpture Trail), 1 hour (bush walk)
