Matthew Road
Matthew road track is part of Te Araroa, about 9km from Warkworth. Mostly gravel and clay, this forestry road goes to the summit of Moirs Hill. Hilly, but not steep, it’s track with magnificent views, approximately 5km one way. Good hiking shoes recommended, track gets muddy after rain.
Where is it located: From Warkworth take Woodcocks Road, after few minutes turn left on to Matthew Road, carry on for 1km.
Approximate duration: 1 – 1.5 hour one way
