Baddeleys Beach
Beach, bush, playground, picnic tables, tennis court,… Baddeleys Beach is beach destination for any season. Enjoy swim at high tide and building sandcastles under pōhutukawas’ when tide is out. Kids can play at the playground or explore large grassy reserve with bush. Baddeleys Beach doesn’t get too busy, not even during summer months. At low tide you can walk to Campbells Beach. There’s plenty parking and toilets.
Where is it located: From Warkworth drive to Matakana, before Matakana Country Park turn right and carry on to Takatu Road, then turn of to Baddeleys Beach Road. Baddeleys Beach is at the end of it.
Approximate duration: about 20 mins
Dog friendly (on leash), in summer (1st December to 1 March) dogs are prohibited from the beach between 10am and 5pm.
