Leigh Coastal Walkway
Easy coastal track with breathtaking views on every step. Walk has multiple access points including: Wonderview Rd, Kyle St, Penguin St, Cotterell St, Kowhai Terrace and Harbour View Rd. Track starts at Wonderview Rd and ends at Leigh Cemetery, but can be done in either direction.
Track is easy to follow, mostly gravel, few grass reserves and steps. There’s picnic tables along the way and seats for rest and admiring the views. Whales and dolphins are often seen in this area.
Where is it located: Leigh. From Warkworth drive to Matakana, then carry on to Whangateau and Leigh.
Approximate duration: about 45 mins one way
